North Londoner and NINE-8 member NAYANA IZ has just dropped 'Breaking Point', following her recent collaboration with Californian artist Kezia on their single 'south!'. 'Breaking Point' has been released alongside a street-shot music video directed by Liam S Gleeson. Opening with record static and sentimental piano, the new single is mellow and thoughtful. NAYANA IZ's vocals begin slow and jazz-inflected, but when the track gains momentum in the form of bass and drums, a free-flowing rap develops, her gentle rap resiliently resonates on the lines 'try clip off my wings, I fly higher', she continues, 'I need sunshine'. She explains, "Going forward, I’m thinking consciously about how I can make a powerful impact as an artist...This is the new phase."
